Why I'm starting a YouTube channel at 39!?!

Seriously I have to be crazy right?? When I think of YouTube and more so, YouTubers, I think of a much younger demographic, kids, teenagers and just barely adults. I must admit I look at these young whippersnappers with envy, they have so much confidence, they are creative, have mad skills and get to make money in the process. Now whilst their content isn’t for me, I can still admire what they do.

So why, at nearly 40 years old, a mother, a wife, a business woman, an all round wearer of many hats have I decided to start vlogging and start my own YouTube channel?? Well there is just so many different reasons and I would love to share them with you.

Firstly in the world of mindset and manifestation we see so much of the ‘after’, when the goals have been achieved and when the life has changed. What we don’t necessarily see is the during, the journey to getting there. Seeing first hand the level ups, quantum leaps and of course the times where it doesn’t go to plan or the work that goes into making it happen. I am at the very beginning of my manifestation journey and I want to be represented, I want to see other women like me out there absolutely crushing it. So putting myself out there hopefully it will mean that you get to see just what is possible for you too.

Representation ladies, I am a 39 year old woman, I am a mother, a wife, I am building my own brand whilst working full time in luxury retail. I struggle with hormones changing as I get ready to head into my 40’s, this has lead to hormone weight gain. I am curvy, I am learning to go deep and love myself. I juggle building my own brand with motherhood and a career, refusing to have to choose between any of them, they are all parts of who I am. I had a rough start in life and it took me a really long time to get on my feet and to really get started in life. Despite that I am going for it anyway. I am a lot of different things to a lot of different people, just like we all are. So I want to represent women like me because I wish that I had that representation during my life, someone to learn from. Someone who has been where I’ve been or been through what I’ve been through.

Despite what mainstream media may tell, a woman’s life does not end in her twenties or when she gets married and has children. In fact in my experience, a woman’s life is really just beginning when you hit your thirties. You just begin to learn about who you are and the power that is within you. You treasure life more, take stock of the moments and create a life that is truly beautiful. The world needs to see more of that and the world needs to see women of all ages and in all phases of their lives.

I yearn to build a community, I want nothing more than to find my tribe of badass women, the glow getters and the bad bitches that have overcome the odds to be here today. I want to build a Queenhood where we can learn from each other, grow with each other, inspire one another. By adding this platform to my brand I hope it brings a sense of connection with you and a place where you feel like you belong.

Finally to wrap it all up I just feel this deep calling to do so, to put something different out there, to be myself. So here I am, no more excuses, no more hiding in the background, backing myself and putting myself way out of my comfort zone. I really hope you come along for the ride with me.
